In another thread on the forum someone said ‘where do I start with Anathema’, so I’m going to have an Anathema day and start at the very beginning.

From what I can remember (as It’s rarely played) a pretty dreadful album. Ah well, here goes.

Just thought I’d go through the full Anathema 'journey. I thought about posting a summary of all albums, and just wrote down about Serenades ‘wouldn’t recommend to anyone other than my worst enemy’.

However, there is lots to recommend about their other albums.

Right I’ve just started ‘Eternity’. Onwards and upwards.

If you want to get a feel for the ‘current’ Anathema line-up and sound i’d say listen to Untouchable parts 1 and 2 from Weather Systems. If that doesn’t float your boat then i don’t think the band is for you.
