Today is National Music celebration Day, and in all towns of France there are amateur and professional musicians performing all kinds of music for free in the streets.
it was great to wander in town tonight as it was very lively.
I bumped into a rock band called the Mark Ashton Project and listened to it for an hour thinking it was rather good!
Turns out it’s Mark Ashton from the Rare Bird who had a hit with ‘Sympathy’ back in 1970, which was covered by Marillion in 1992!
Ashton has formed his new band in 2012 in Nice and is now playing gigs across the Riviera.
It was very rocky and entertaining

I’ve listened to this album so many times when it has been released that I almost forgot how much qualities it has after a looonnng time without listening to it (but two times these past few days)…great melodies,a lot of emotions,beautiful songs…in the end, a really great album:it could be one of my fav after all
