A 6 hr round trip with traffic I guess tonight to a pub in Swindon to see this band (one of my favourites) .
Not seen them in 12 yrs as they never tour much but with a new album in the pipeline and a free pass it should be worth it .

Glasgow Monday 30th June 2025

Haven`t been to see them since Brave New World Tour and as they are concentrating the set on the first 9 albums thought I would do the one last time thing.

When I had to sell my ticket for the current tour I thought that maybe I would regret it because they are not gonna be able to go on forever. But they already announced this new tour. A setlist made up of tracks from 1980-1992 - superb stuff. Iโ€™ll see where they play in 2026 and will try to get to a show (or two!).

In Manchester tonight, Billy No-mates, watching Big Big Train. No word of a lie, got out of my taxi and walked straight into Greg Spawton. (Taurus pedal extraordinaire)

Support band for an hour first. Haunt The Woods. Never heard of em. - I said before, Iโ€™ve got a shocking seat, but I will get a good view of Nick Dโ€™Virgilio drumming!

They really should be playing larger venues. They were in Newport last week and it sold out really quickly due to the less than 500 seat capacity venue chosen.

I know. This venue was sold out about 4 months ago. Nice hall though. Just across the road from the Arena.

Stoked!

Does America know Oasis

The 7 stadium shows all sold out in a couple of hours, so I guess so. Tickets can only be resold at face value so itโ€™s not touts buying them up for profit either and there was none of that dynamic pricing bs which probably helped. Plus they are only playing the biggest markets - NYC (New Jersey), Chicago and Los Angeles.

There will probably be quite a few Brits there too. That was my experience at the Madness gig earlier this year. Everyone I spoke with and stood with at that gig were expats or travelled from England for the show.

Wishbone Ash tomorrow night at the Walsall Arena. Arena means that once upon a time it was probably a leisure centre!
