Preorder arrived today along with the Bobbie Dazzle vinyl and 40th anniversary Karate Kid motion picture score on cassette. Plenty of new music to keep me occupied and away from the news.

Just ordered this one from Ron Sexsmith. No idea what I bought, just because Paul has been talking about him and one of my friends was at his gig in London a while ago and Nick Lowe had visited at the gig so I thought I just order one random cd and give it a chance.
I like to keep things like in the old days when you just bought a record without knowing beforehand what you are buying.

I have all or most his albums Lauri. He’s what I’d call a proper old-school singer/songwriter. Deceptively simple songs, but great melodies and lyrics. Not what you’d call Rock n Roll, but if you’re open to a change of pace, you’ll enjoy his stuff.
I can’t recall what tracks are on that album, as I tend to play my 3 favourites all the time. Retriever, Time Being and Long Player Late Bloomer.
Billy Joel fan?

Amplifier - The Old Forge Sessions vol 1-4
Bought those myself a couple of weeks back.
The 2 cd’s in the Noise package are wrongly printed, ie Noise cd has You All Look The Same To Me printed on the disk, and vice versa for the other disk, so don’t get caught out / confused when playing them.
