Had a listen today. I am not their No.1 fan, but liked a few tracks on this album.
^ A band I will probably never get to see live but own all their albums. I only heard of them after Paul started posting their albums in this thread a couple of years back. Have enjoyed them ever since.
I think it’s gonna take me a few listens tbh. There’s a couple of tracks that caught my attention but overall I wasn’t convinced on the first play and I consider myself to be a fan. I usually connect straight away with the stuff they put out.
Maybe we’ll all be massive Big Big Train fans in a couple of years ?!

Funny you should say that … I’ll see for myself on Friday whether they live up to the hype ![]()

Steven Wilson - Grace For Drowning
Yeah, sorry about that!
I’m aware that I do tend to bang on about them a lot.
To be fair, I’m talking about them as a whole discography, going back to 1994. Not just the latest version of the band. As much as I like them too!
You’ll all have to forgive me, as I can’t see myself shutting up about them anytime soon either.
Incidentally, if anyone comes across CD versions (at reasonable prices) of the stuff I haven’t crossed out, let me know!

Nothing wrong with enthusiasm for a band. Remember me regards the Sound Of Contact album from a few years back? ![]()
No mate. You mustn’t have banged on about it enough.
No worries. I’m just jesting. I’ve been checking out the back catalog and like everything I’ve heard so far. Hoping to pick up a few CDs at the gig on Friday. Really looking forward to seeing them.
I did find the CDs were available in the US store online including this one on your list … I think it’s a repressed copy but I thought I’d share the link with you anyway …
I was gonna order a few but will wait to see what’s available at the merch stand first.
Thanks Mike. I noticed that too. I’m wondering if they’ve relocated some of their old stock, since they are trying to push into the U.S a bit more.
Thought it was a good price at first, till I noticed the P&P.
