Did you see him on the Graham Norton show last week end? Thought his voice was awful!

No, I didn’t. I like what I’ve heard of his new album, but it probably won’t win over any non-fans though. He’s always had a rough and ready voice. Depends what he’s singing.

No what I mean is most singers of his age start developping this horrible vibrato that sounds over the top and out of tune, that’s more what I meant. Studio versions are corrected and generally sound all good. But somehow when they sing live they sound wrong! I also think of David Coverdale, James Labrie… and many French singers too.
