Btw I’ve actually got to know Tom Verlaine thanks to this interview, had never come across him or his band Television before, went to check the track Mike Scott is talking about, and fell instantly in love with the said track, and bought the album

He wasn’t a dick with me personally. I never lost respect for him or his artistry. A few outbursts on Twitter doesn’t make him a bad apple. Not sure I agree with him about 80’s music. Some of it yes, but there was great stuff too. Same with every decade.

Anyway it didn’t stop me from liking his music, proof is i still follow him.
Yeah i don’t agree with him either, love lots of what was produced back in the 80’s.

He has always played barefoot - right from the beginning with Porcupine Tree.
Think i read before that (1) he just feels more comfortable barefoot, and (2) he has better control of his guitar pedals
