Hmmm…
I can’t seem to get this one to stick. I like the first side fine, but most of the 2nd side just strikes me as The Gaslight Anthem b-side reject material. I maybe need to give it more time, but it certainly hasn’t grabbed me like all of TGA’s albums did. Still in two minds about whether to catch him live next month; I didn’t particularly like the Horrible Crowes album either, and he appears to be playing quite a bit of that…
Yeah Ive read that the set is made up of Painkillers and Horrible Crows. Id imagine a few TGA tracks will be in there too. I never understood why the band weren`t bigger. The jump to Island Records smoothed their edges.
