Yes it is Paul.
Defo be passing on that as well mate need to smuggle a doggy bag in
Funny, there is a Finnish couple in the next room at this hotel. The woman came up to our floor in same lift and noticed us speaking Finnish.
They are going to see Fish as well, the guy is both nights.
What’s the chances of that?!
Ive a ticket spare if anyone is looking one for Monday
We came back to the hotel a while ago and Simone just got out so probably Fish is staying in Leonardo as well.
He is Lauri. He’s in the next room to me. Heard him practicing.
I don’t actually know where we’re heading now, but are you up for a drink before the gig?
I think we will soon start to walk to the venue. I have not heard of anyone, maybe some are in Laurieston? Really could take a drink with the company.
Some of us queued for over an hour at the Laurieston to buy merch. We’d never get in for a drink. As soon as I know where we are going I can let you know!
What a night! What a setlist! Thank you Fish and thank you The Company!
Soon breakfast and after that packing things up before heading to the airport.
I’m speechless. And still emotional to be honest.
So pleased we got the chance to see you Lauri!
On the one hand I’m still buzzing over that Sunday night gig, but it also feels strange and pretty emotional coming to terms with the fact it’s all over as far as Fish music is concerned. That’s it. The end.
In my case, I think about 39 years of being a fan and being excited about new albums and what direction he’s going to take. - I still find it hard to believe his muse has left the building. I thought he’d always have something to say, musically, but I guess people’s motivations and goals change as they get older.
Listening to him talking about moving rocks and gardening at the croft during his last FoF, there’s no doubting he’s following his heart and doing what’s best for him. No doubts at all. As he said during the gig, he’s definitely not having an Elton John moment.
All things come to an end, as hard as that might be to take.
I haven’t been to as many gigs over the years as I would have liked, and certainly far less than others here who were seeing Marillion back in the early 80’s when I was only about 10 years old. First album I ever bought with my own money, Misplaced Childhood, on cassette. I hammered that tape on a Walkman when we were on family holidays. Went everywhere with me, that album.
What I’m saying is the music has been significant. The impact has been significant on me, and everything he has ever released has been like time-stamps on my life. (Even 13th Star )
I never meant to get so introspective when I started writing this! I was just trying to talk about significant moments I’ll remember, and I had one on Sunday.
….and I’m sorry it’s over.
6 hour journey and now back home, but really want to be in Glasgow.
Can we do it all again please ?
Anyone got a link to Monday’s setlist?
And did he actually drop the mic, or was that metaphorical?
Cheers Lauri.
Would have liked to have heard Incubus.
That didn’t take long!
