First time for 25 years! COYY
I remember many yrs ago , Fergies first game I think and you lot beat us .
Anyways
Newcastle at home Wednesday, just renewed my season ticket , 35 yrs now .
Just watched the 99 documentary on Amazon Prime , god that season had everything and I was lucky enough to see it all, the only game I missed that season was Brondby away ( my nan’s funeral) .
I first watched Oxford United in 1979. For my 9th birthday Mum and Dad took me to The Manor to watch us play Southend. As soon as I was old enough I was a season ticket holder when we were in Division 3, Division 2 and Division 1. Was at Wembley in 86 when we won the Milk Cup and after I moved to US I still made the trip home to see the playoff final in 2010 when we were promoted back to the Football League. My brother, Mum and Dad are/were season ticket holders. I couldn’t be there today. Mum and brother are at Wembley today. I have watched every game this season on the OUFC live feed. I am just so proud. We did it
I remember.
I couldn’t find the programme from that game but I did find this one from the previous season. The first home game against Man Utd in our first season in Division One (85-86). You won 3-1.
Great signing for us. He is potentially the 5th ex Cardiff player in our squad if Josh Murphy and Joe Bennett accept the offers we put to them.
Josh Murphy signing for Portsmouth
Could be losing your manager as well
Been following this all day on the various Oxford forums and it sounds like a bit of a stretch to me. Just the bookies speculating. Only takes a few quid to change the odds. Bellamy is now favorite. This makes more sense.
No smoke without fire though
