…Being German, the Royal Family exchanged their gifts yesterday, but I’m doing mine this afternoon when I can be arsed getting out of bed.

We also give Christmas gifts on 24th in the evening. Santa comes and delivers the gifts. Or sometimes when I was a child the gift sack or box just mysteriously appeared behind the door.
