Interesting, Steve Rothery’s upcoming album has a Finnish language title.
Work in progress version of the first part of the track ‘Garganta Del Diablo" from the forthcoming album "Revontulet’.
In Finnish, the name for the aurora borealis is “Revontulet”, which literally translated means “Fox Fires.” The name comes from an ancient Finnish myth, a beast fable, in which the lights were caused by a magical fox sweeping his tail across the snow spraying it up into the sky.
Does anyone else think all these remasters and collectors editions are getting rather silly? I mean, was anything wrong with the original sound quality of Division Bell?
Totally agree mate, i give them a wide bearth now, ploughed enough money into artists original albums without having to get the 3rd remaster of the same album 10yrs down the line so to speak even if you do get a book with it.
But if the original album is out of print? Surely this gives the fans (new and old) the opportunity to buy a new copy without being ripped off by somebody on eBay.
I would also argue that some of the extras are worth the price alone … for example MC & CAS Deluxe CDs with Blu-ray are worth it for the live recordings and documentaries.
As a collector it allows me to preserve my original copies (for nostalgia and value) but still lets me listen to the music in a format I prefer (vinyl).
