Glasgow 2025

Leonardo is a nice hotel. Also is quite close to the many bars etc. I am sure we will gather in and only about a 15 / 20 minute walk if that to the venue.

That reminds me is Rik over from Ireland has anyone heard from him?

WhatsApp’d me last week. He’s arriving Sunday midday, leaving Monday pm.

He mentioned the Laurieston as a place to go.

I’ll be in the Leonardo too, officially arriving Sunday leave Monday but will probably come through on Saturday just for a meet up if there is one as hotel prices for the Sat are througb the roof plus the fact i am not working so need to cut my cloth, not the way i wanted it sorry guys.

The Laurieston will be absolutely rammed. It is not a very big place. It is though, a traditional and friendly pub. Two minutes away, but there is nothing else around it.

Probably better opting for somewhere a bit bigger. All those beer bellies in such a confined space can’t be good.

Apparently The Laurieston is being used by Fish to sell gig merchandise, so probably will now be even fuller.

It doesn’t look very big as it is !!

Maybe it will make his merchandising table and selection look bigger?

Have to pinch myself when I actually stop to think. A music career I’ve followed since the late 80’s will soon be over. No new albums. Nothing. Glasgow will feel so poignant. Joyful but poignant.

I read the comments on his Facebook post about the pop up merch stands and someone posted something along the lines of … with Chocolate Frog no more after the tour, there is unlikely to be a final live release from the final tour… That is kinda sad, if true.

Depends if he needs the funds for a new log burner in his croft

I think there’ll be a last live album.

I’m sure Rab will get his hands on a bootleg.

He did say on F.O.F. that there would maybe a Live Album but definitely he wouldn’t bother with a dvd as the sales from the last one were not adequate!

Lets see ?
