The last gig you went to

We had a great night, one of the first gigs we went to on a date night at Nottingham Mardi Graz in 1985/86 and they are still as good live as they were then .

Bruce Dickinson

Bought a seat ticket for this one because I didn’t want to line up early to be at the front of the GA floor. Actually turned out to be a wise move on my part as I watched a few fists thrown in a scuffle near the front. Idiots!

Bruce was magnificent. His voice is holding up well. He actually sounded pretty awesome and he is such a great showman. One of the very best.

A couple of pics from afar …

There were less than a 100 in attendance but the energy and enthusiasm was high.
Exceptional musicianship from the band and the setlist was perfect :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The pissed-up one?

I wasn`t sure about getting tickets for this. Might it be too cheesy? Would it be shite? Well, I have to say it was a great night. Two guitars and Rossi talking bollocks in between. Quo were an absolute “ Gateway “ into listening to music for me. You know those days as a kid when you were beginning to take notice of songs coming out of the radio that were different from Neil Sedaka and Elvis Presley my parents would play on the stereogram? The night was a nostalgia fest and there is nothing wrong with that. Remembering the days of youth and thinking of back to back gigs in Glasgow with Waysted supporting Quo. Going to Milton Keynes as a 14 year old and seeing Quo supported by Nazareth and some up and coming band called Marillion. All of it is in the memory bank including the mates who were there with me who are now either on the other side of the world or no longer of this planet. There were the songs most of you would know and Rossi also went “ down, down, deeper than down “ with a few lesser known tracks such as “ Someone Show Me Out Of Here “ and “ Tongue Tied. “ I think I enjoyed myself. Can you tell?:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

“ I`vebeen dreaming of a time long ago. I`ve been dreaming of the past. Ive been thinking that there`s not long to go. Why does living go so fast? “

Coheed & Cambria. Sorry, just dont get it.

I was twenty years older than anyone around me, large number of 30ish y/o women. Where are these people at the other rock gigs??

Honestly, these 30 year old whippersnappers!

Brilliant gig at Backstage at the Green in Kinross last night. Their shows are truly special.

Went to see the Rush tribute band, Moving Pictures last night in Dundee. They are phenomenal. I don`t tend to like tribute bands but make an exception for them and Stillmarillion.
