I saw the Birmingham gig, it was a bit odd to say the least!
They’ve done a drum and brass thing on previous tours. I think it’s just an opportunity for D’Virgilio to show off. Light relief. Not a proper song.

Still have to look on google and see what the nearest train station is in Manchester to the venue and how far the walk is. I’ll probably end up getting there hours earlier than I need to.
I’m up early for a few pints. Probably around 1pm.
Staying in hotel on Portland Street which is about 5-10;minutes walk from Piccadilly station and 10 minutes walk to the gig.

Hoping there’ll be a few trains back home after the gig. Should be. Not sure yet when I’ll be there. Maybe 3’ish. I’ll book my tickets over this weekend.

SKALD and The Hu were brilliant last night
Got back from Lanzarote at stupid o`clock on Sunday morning. A bit of a kip and then out in town to see this show with Damian Wilson as the Narrator. Brilliant.

I see that Damien on the upcoming Arena dates (his last shows with the band) is now doing the special guest slot of his solo stuff, that should be great as well.

Only my 2nd time seeing BBT live, but they were fantastic and even better than 2 years ago. The whole rendition of Woodcut was flawless, but with twice as much energy as on the album. Superb venue too, with excellent sound.
Great seeing Andy and Steve for a few drinks. Made me realise I miss regular gigging and the Fish connection. He needs to get his arse out of retirement and out of that cafe.

My first time seeing Big Big Train and it was such a great gig in a great venue. The whole of Woodcut was fantastic. And meeting up with Paul and Andy made the day even more special.

Obviously, I didn’t go to this one, but here’s a review of the Shepherd’s Bush Empire final gig. Can’t wait for that Blu-Ray.
