Hopefully it’ll stay as it is , but I just can’t see that happening, he could easily sell out another night over the next year, as he said last night on the podcast he was surprised how quickly its sold.
Contemplating going Manchester or Liverpool. Depends what days they fall on as I’ve just scheduled all my work hols in till April ‘25. Managed to book 10 days off for next March. Give myself some recovery time.
I’ll be Billy no mates in Manchester mate , come along for a few
Soddin hell, you’re going Manchester as well? He’ll think you’re stalking him.
Ok after the ticket scrummage dust has settled here’s my tuppence worth of view point.
IF he does add another Glasgow night or any other final night for that matter, someone pointed out that it would be good to make the present Glasgow e tickets transferrable to the the proposed other final night, which is why the demand for Glasgow went so quick and not because it was a Glasgow gig, (as we all know on any other tour Glasgow usually takes months to sellout) myself and probably most others booked that up for that reason it is the “final night”
So bearing that in mind if the tickets are transferable then again the people without a ticket will remain without one imho as most if not all will transfer their tickets to the proposed final night.
Point being you will not be able to please everyone to attend the Final night when the venue only holds 2500.
The only way round this is to move to a bigger venue to accommodate “the final night demand” or keep the tour “as is” and save the grief of fecking everyone around that has bought or not bought tickets.
Like he said last night he cant please everyone and will not be dictated to by us mere mortals, its his final tour and his decision end of.
He also said having talks with the promoters this week (show me a promoter who isnt out to make money)!
If I was a betting man (which im not as I piss enough money up the wall) they’ll go with an extra night at the same venue on the Monday evening.
Well its done now to say i am not happy is correct but not just for myself but for the majority of the 2500 fans that booked Glasgow on the 9th March 2025 being promoted as his final gig.
memory, Paul !!
I think I missed something…
You all booked glasgow ?
When will Haddington be on sale ?
I’m slightly disappointed as it was always sold as the final gig, however seeing a Fish gig in Scotland is going to be special for me, so I’ll enjoy it whatever the circumstances.
And I’ll get to meet all you lovely people
Fish’s Facebook response (sorry, can’t cut and paste the text from my phone so here’s the link).
Sorry, I understand his predicament, but I’m not attempting to move days or purchase another ticket for his ‘final’ final gig. I’m looking forward to the Sunday. I wanted to see him in Scotland and that’s all I’m bothered about.
I still don’t like his decision and think any additional gigs should have been before Sunday. I know he’s given reasons why this wouldn’t be possible, but no chance during Jan or Feb?
Like he said, end of the day it’s his tour and he does what he likes regardless.
Bigger venue and an old-fashioned 2 day convention would have finished his career and tour very nicely. The new plan just seems a bit disjointed.
Come and join us in Glasgow Marie
But you all booked 09/03, isn’t it ?
I have a spare if you needed it.
I bought 2 tickets in case Emma or my mate wanted to go but neither have shown any interest.
Glasgow 09/03 ? please keep it if anyone else is interested !
I was hoping you’d notice when we first started to mention all going and decide to come!
Sorry Paul, check the general chat for more : overflowed. Sorry
It’s okay Marie! Totally understandable. Good luck with all the house stuff. I had all of that last year with the move. Takes over time and finances.
