Going back to work tonight after being off for so long. Pig sick.
Just in time for the storm
A stellar impression of Elton John in that 1st photo Steve.
I know alot of people say its a dump but I went a few years back on a stag do and had a brilliant laugh, plenty of entertainment on offer
Not the type of place you’d take the wife for a romantic weekend, but for our mixed group of 9, going for a 50th birthday it was fantastic.
Not laughed so much in ages.
Yet more changes and cutbacks at work. Just when you think your job can’t get any more worse or depressing. Christ, I need a lottery win.
Everything at the moment. My head is all over the place with decisions to be made.
Life outside any work, i just cant seem to get myself bk to how i was, you can only keep yourself occupied for so long with different things then it becomes pointless, never going to replace a 21yr void in my life
Stay strong mate, you know where I am
Just really hard mate, not the best way to be before i start a new job tomorrow.
Rab, hang in there mucker.
Sorry to hear that mate. So hard.
Best of luck for the new job.
Had my 12 days hol the other week and didn’t want to look at the rota while I was off, as I had a feeling it would depress me.
Well, I checked it a couple of days before being due back in work, only to find that I’d been completely screwed over and put down for 9 nightshifts on the bounce without a day off.
Currently on day 6 of 9 and I can’t put into words how knackered I feel. Can cope with that physically up to a point, but mentally my head is cabbaged due to lack of sleep.
Cannot wait for Saturday. I just want a day of laziness, booze and music.
Maybe ‘depress’ is too strong a word, but anyone else felt on a bit of a downer since the weekend?
I’m only back in work next week, but could quite easily have spent Tuesday and Wednesday in bed. Don’t know if I was just lacking energy or it was a mental thing? Forced myself on a couple of walks down the canal, but was just going through the motions.
Will get on a train and go somewhere today, but it’s a weird feeling coming down from the high of such a great gig.
To quote another of our favourites, " Pull your head from the floor. Come up screaming!" I too feel weird /spaced out. Naebidy is deid, but yeah it feels like a loss. Wrap yourself in all the great memories and get on the train for a day out mate. Take yir camera.
Depending on where you go, maybe a cultural tour, i know someone who is an expert at this
Ended up in Hebden Bridge where they filmed Happy Valley.
We had a braw laugh.
We certainly did mate, loved visiting the Clutha bar after what happened their many years ago
