Always tough to lose someone close to you.

Try to stay positive and think of all the good times you had, which made your friendship so special.

Missing all this nice sunshine. Looks lovely outside, but between nightshifts and sleeping, I bet I’m not up and about for more than a couple of hours. Difficult to fit in a decent walk when I’ve got to eat and do other stuff in that time.

Still, only 2 shifts to go, then off work for 10 days, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. You watch it piss it down all next week.

Back in work tonight! Those 10 days flew by and I never thought about the place once. God, I wish I could retire.

Far be it from me to moan and complain about work, but it’s been the worst week ever. Sick of going in there and flogging my guts out, yet all we get back is criticism.

Don’t want praise. Just appreciation for the effort. Nothing is ever good enough.

Airport Security, honestly id make people who are on community service do their hrs having to go through it , that would bloody teach em !
Wind up sadistic merchants. . .

Is that you taking the Kalashnikov on holiday again? :stuck_out_tongue:

Back in work tonight after a 5 day ā€˜long weekend’ off.

I could have 5 months off and it wouldn’t be enough.

All colleagues were contacted via email, to fill in a ā€˜happiness in the workplace’ survey. Everyone I’ve spoken to has given an absolutely damning report on our lousy and unapproachable senior management.

I think I wrote a friggin essay. Nothing will come of it, but at least it vented a bit of anger.

It’s totally trackable and I couldn’t give a shit.

Used my email. Told ā€˜em exactly how long I’ve been there and I’ve never known it as bad.

Last shift tonight. Totally feckin fed-up with the shit hole this week. Everything has gone wrong. Fire alarms going off last night. Some cleaning team that was in had set off part of the sprinkler system. Should have seen it. It was like something out of a comedy sketch.

On top of that, supposed to have a full 2 weeks notice on the rotas and they’re still not up for the 11th, so no idea when I’m back in after my hols.

Also made matters worse that the guy running this cleaning and freezer repair company had the thickest Scottish accent I’ve ever heard. 4 bleedin nights of not having the faintest idea what the hell he was talking about. Might as well have been a different language.

I mean, I can understand Rab and Lawrie no problem at all. Fuck knows where this geezer was from? Him holding the bloody tap with hot water spraying everywhere. Feckin drenched.

Anyway, it’s over. Holiday time.
